PAUL MORIN has been in the construction industry as both a builder and developer since 1983. He is the president of Tarkka Homes, Inc. which has been in business since 1990. He has designed and built countless custom homes for his clients. He also has considerable experience with residential additions and remodeling projects as well as land subdivision and development.
He is actively involved with the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of NH. He is a former two-term president of the Greater Manchester local chapter, a member of the Certified New Hampshire Builder Program and has earned his designation as a Certified Graduate Builder through the National Association of Home Builders’ University of Housing.
Mr. Morin was instrumental in the drafting and passage of many construction and consumer protection related pieces of legislation including the adoption of the NH Statewide Building Code and the Consumer Notice and Opportunity to Repair Act. He regularly testifies before the NH Legislature on issues relating to the industry.
Tarkka Homes, Inc. and Mr. Morin have received numerous awards including the HBRANH Builder of the Year for 2004, the Greater Manchester Builder of the Year for both 2000 and 2005 and the NH Construction Industry Ethics Award for 2009, the first residential builder to win this prestigious award.
Mr. Morin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Hampshire in Communications. He is deeply involved in municipal planning issues and served as the chairman of the Town of Weare Planning Board from 2001 to 2009. He was the Weare representative to the Southern NH Planning Commission from 2001 through 2007 and currently sits on several NH state commissions and task forces.
